Knowing your audience.

in media we learnt about all different types of audiences. it is very important to identify with the type of audience you are aiming at as it will help you a lot more because you wouldn't aim a action movie at someone who didn't watch them as you would loose out on money, so knowing who you are aiming at will increase views ect...
Audiences are divided into 3 differnt catorgories; traditionalists, post modernists and headonists.
A tradionalist means that they stick to what they know, they are traditional they would go and watch a Disney film because they know the outcome and they know what to expect.
a post modernist is very much like a headonist but doesnt turn up to the cinema completly unaware of what they are going to watch, a post modernist will mostly watch Action films.
lastly a headonist will take extreame risks, they will turn up to the cinema and just pick a film at random and go watch it, headonists are mostly likely to go see horror films or gorey films.

The acorn system is also another way of indenifying a audience,
the acorn system divides people into differnt catorgories for example; A, B, C1, C2, D and E.
the people in A are the very rich people for example, bill gates, the queen, simon cowell ect..
group B is people who are lawyers, surgeons, solicitors( very clever people), group C1 is company managers, big bosses.
Group C2 is the working class - people who work in shops, offiices.
Group D is factory workers and Group E are those who are unemployed , pensioners and students.
